Chapter 361: A Family Affair I
"Are you sure? The sooner I understand Raens, especially your biology since you are the first of them all, the better I would be able to understand how to teach your people, and the better you all will become if you fully understand what sort of bonuses being a Raen brings you. Some things are not known until you search for them yourselves, so do make sure you are back here when you say that you will be."
Cole grunted in agreement as the Gnome turned around and went back into the dungeon. Cole turned to Eze and Tehila. "Do you guys have anything else you need to take care of? Speaking of which Eze I did not know you lived in the capital, hell I thought you were off world."
"I was flown in about a week ago, technically I\'m still an active member of the military, so when the first dungeons opened their gates, I was called back in, especially when you consider the fact that I am ranked second on the rankings. It became mandatory, they tried to pull me in with talks about duty, and some other shit. I refused, then they threaten to give me a dishonourable discharge.
And that didn\'t work either, since this event started I\'ve been making a good amount of money, then you came along and I became a millionaire overnight. Not even the taxes the territory is taking from me is putting a dent in my finances. All of which would do well to help me in this new reality, but much more than that, I have secured a future for my children." Cole raised an eyebrow at that.
"You have kids?" he asked, surprised as this was something that had never come up between the two of them.
"The names…..what are they?" Eze asked as Cole prepared to begin his Racial refinement and then log out.
"Yeah 2 year old Efeoma, 4 year old Ifunaya and 8 year old Ikenna." Cole blinked his eyes a few times.
"Did you have to make all their names end with a? was that on purpose of just a coincidence?" Cole asked.
"Actually those were all just a coincidence. My family is one of the few that has still held on to our traditional roots. We all have tribal names…..do you have a tribal name?" Eze asked and Cole nodded.
"Yeah, one in Japanese and the other in Igala."
"Igala? Men that\'s old, there are so few tribesmen left. We\'ve all changed, modernized and forgotten the tongue of our fathers. Can you speak any?" Eze asked as Cole nodded yes.
"The names…..what are they?" Eze asked as Cole prepared to begin his Racial refinement and then log out.
"Kenshi and Afuojo, which both translate to warrior for the Japanese. And wind of God for the Igala. I think it was just a play on word though, my great-grandmother at the time, a powerful oyabun in japan from a storied Yakuza family line wanted to name me; Kamikaze.
She said she saw the future, that she felt it deep in her spirit, that I will be like the wind, and one that can not be stopped or denied. Like the divine, and that I will be a danger to my family, just as much as I would be a danger to myself....Kamikaze….Afuojo." Cole just shook his head and chuckled before he was covered in a cocoon of light, his refinement starting before he logged out.
"Is he stupid or something? Does he not see that he\'s right in the middle of the street. He has a house that\'s bigger than everything else that\'s here, why the fuck would he do this here!" Tehila fumed at no one in particular. As she turned to see, Irma running towards her.
"Wait! We have a problem!" Tehila frowned as her entire demeanour changed.
"What is it?"
"The northern glade is on the move, for the last 1 or so they have been amassing their troops in front of them, I think they want to make a play for the central glade. If they take it, they would be the master of the great valley and we will have to answer to them. Where the fuck is our fearless leader?" Tehila pointed at Cole\'s cocoon.
"Well…..we\'re fucked! I hear you guys have to deal with an invasion in your reality, and that means you are all preoccupied. How the hell do we deal with this new circumstances. Plus all of the strongest fighters are not here, they\'re all on the sixth floor. Our defenses will hold if they attack us, but if we\'re not the target then I don\'t think there is anything we can do to stop them, not without our best."
"But you can stall them?" Eze said as he intruded into the conversation.
"What?" Irma asked in surprise.
"The situation on earth is not something that we can afford to take lightly, but there\'s Cole, and then there\'s me. We need time, Tehila London is the place that has been hit the hardest by the arrival of the dungeons. We need to at least access the level of damage and effort that would be required of us to put in. If its something that either Cole or I can handle on our own, then one of us will rush back and deal with the northern glade. The rest of division 3 will be here to answer the call to arms, Pollux will deal with commanding them until either Cole or I get back.
Get in the way of the northern glade, use any means necessary, even diplomatic ones if you can, just make sure they stay put until either one of us gets back. And if they start attacking us, then let us know immediately and we will be here, because I\'m sure Cole would agree…..Raen Valley is much more valuable to us, than London, so it wont be too hard a decision for us to make, to let it burn."
