Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 168 168: Falling In The Apocalypse

Cole was ashamed to admit that he might have passed out for a few seconds from the sheer fright of falling out the side of a building. He didn\'t expect it if he had to be honest and he knew that there was no way his body was strong enough to survive a fall from a distance so far, you would freeze to death in seconds or choke without air.

And then there was still the falling to be considered. Either way the wind buffeting his body and Irma\'s loud screams were enough to wake him up, as he took notice of the earth that was rapidly drawing close. Cole shuddered as what he saw was a blackened mass of death and darkness, ruin as far as the eye could see, as if a scourge had swept through the entire place with multiple massive pockets of quivering moving masses that could only be hordes of Zombies.

Cole would worry if he could, but none of that would matter if he doesn\'t survive his fall first he tucked his hands to his side and angle his body akin to a sky diver, his form cutting through the air as he flew/fell towards a the flailing Irma. In this state, Cole had to be honest and say she did not look anything like the fierce and dangerous Mercenary commander/leader she came off as. Never the less he had to calm her down, and he did it the only way he knew how.

[Sin Eater]

She fell limp in his hands, her breathing heavy as her entire body grew pale at a pace that visible to the sight. Cole swallowed hard, he was a lot stronger now, he was silver Ranked for God sake, that new t that his abilities were a lot stronger now than they had ever been before. He should have know better than to activate his skill at the same intensity as before, that was only asking to kill somebody when that was not his intentions.

He dragged her closer to this body and let the wind streamline their form as they fell, the only thing they could do now was let gravity play it\'s part. And with him still not having access to his [Spectral Rover ] and [Shadow Dance] skills, the only other choice he has was to rely on [Gravity] mastery. Hopefully it too was strong enough to keep the both from painting a splotch of red on the ugly blackness this world has been made a canvass of.

The wind howled and pelted Cole and Irma, the force behind it almost being strong enough for it to be considered a punch. And with how fast they were moving Cole couldn\'t even see well enough as his eyes were watering. It was in that moment he created a bubble of gravity around them, and within that bubble he canceled the effect of gravity completely bringing them both to a sudden and very weird stop, and it was not one that their bodies could handle as both Irma and Cole vomited, bile and saliva mixed with flecks of blood that stained their lips and ears red.

Cole had absolutely no idea what just happened, however due to jarring reaction, Cole could not keep his control over the skill. It vanished with a pop as the both of them continued their descent, their minds and visions fogged up that they couldn\'t see anything until the impact was made. Irma smashed into the inner part of a massive satellite dish, her arm and legs bending at awkward angles as she slid down leaving a trail of blood in her wake.

Cole was not as lucky as she slammed into the beam that stretched from the edge to a point above the dish. His body was contorted and bent as he was squeezed into the gaps of the pillar, and out the other side to land with a wet squelch on the dish, his own body sliding down, leaving his own trail of blood that ironically crossed over Irma\'s , leaving a big red X on the dish.

He slid to the edge then fell off the to ground. Pain, there was so much of it, Cole could not even think. But even in his pain addled state his ears could still pick the incoming footfalls of the undead, of the walkers with powers….. and he absolutely would not point out to himself even with the pain he was going through that he just made walkers rhyme with powers… ha! He did it again!

*Pop!*

"Arghhhhhh!"

Cole\'s screamed seemed to ring out into the air as his spine realigned itself with his brain. And in doing so pain from other parts of his body that Cole had no idea had been injured flooded his receptors. Torn nerves linked up and tangled nerves untangled themselves. Cole knew he was a very good healer, perhaps maybe even approaching Wolverine and Deadpool levels...which if he had to be honest was a bit of an exaggeration. But still he healed good enough.

But this? This was something else. His body had been broken to the limit, he should be dead, he\'s supposed to be dead. But with his heart still beating his body was using what was left of his energy to heal the damage that had been done to him from the fall. Cole really wished he was dead, as bit by bit his body pulled itself together as his awareness and perception came back just in time for him to need a zombie leaping at him, its jaws filled with teeth that gleamed of metal.

[Vertigo]

Showed an effect that it has never shown before, the zombie seemed to twist into itself, it wasn\'t overly pronounced, but just enough that you could notice it. To Cole the twist was in pretty much the shape of motion a person with motion sickness or nausea will feel. He rolled over, ignoring the lance of pain that shot through his still healing body as his intestines slid right back into his gullet.

The zombie crashed to the ground with a rather strangled cry, as Cole stabbed his blade down into the top of it\'s head. He turned around, observing that they seemed to be in some sort of Facility, and directly to the east about 2 to 5 kilometers away was the Babel Tower they had fallen out from. The Facility with the massive satellite dish seemed to have been connected to the tower at some point or still and he just couldn\'t tell what that connection was.

He turned around, ignoring the beeping of notifications hanging at the edge of his vision. He moved tracing the trajectory of Irma\'s fall. It didn\'t take too long to find her, glassy eyes, neck twisted in the opposite direction as some sort of zombie dog tore into her belly for the gore within. Cole felt guilty, at least for a moment. Honestly there wasn\'t really anything he could have done different, this floor is not about domination or winning, it is straight up a fight and a race to survival….. people dying in the way just seems like the kind of normal thing that would happen in a world like this.

The dog then took notice of Cole, raising a head to look at him with a single large eye. Cole heard a mechanic whirl as shutters appeared over its eyes. Then expanded, before narrowing to pin point. And then to all of his shock and horror, a machine gun popped out of the back of the dog and aimed at him. This was ridiculous, of all the fucking things or directions this situation would have taken, it had to arrive at the zombie dog being a bionic killing machine with a freaking mini-gun coming out of it\'s back...Cole wished Morgan was here.

"Good doggy?" Cole asked, but it did not seem as if the bionic dog wanted to be called doggy, and it showed it properly by responding to Cole with all the animosity you can expect from a zombie bionic dog.

"My name is the Grand General dipshit! Now eat Lead!" and then the dog opened fire...only for the gun to click empty, whirling uselessly on the back of the creature. It was in that point that Cole took notice that not ammunition belt was fed into it, the bloody dog had no ammo….it was only very vindictive. Never the less any other thing that either Cole or the dog would get to say was swallowed up by Irma\'s body\'s suddenly bursting into flames. Cole groaned as he asked out loud.

"Now what?"
