VRMMORPG: Dragomancer Reborn

Chapter 159 Loot And Bonus

Killing the Ember Bellow Lizards didn\'t just give Arthur experience, it also gave him the chance to obtain more loot!

"Harvesting these will take some time…" Arthur estimated it would take him at least an hour or more.

The Ember Bellow Lizards were large, as well as tough to deal with. Arthur had to be careful to use just the right amount of strength in skinning them or he would damage them, reducing the value and quality.

\'I can easily get an entire set of armor commissioned for this.\' Arthur thought.

With just a single Ember Bellow Lizard, it would not have been possible, but with two, it was easy.

After all, Arthur did have the need for a second set of armor, as he wished to use his disguises more. The Veil of Thousand Skins was too good to not be utilized.

"Let\'s get to work. Brambles I\'ll need your help too." Arthur spoke.

"Krrrr~" The Dragon Horn Beetle responded before using its horn to turn over the corpse of the Female Ember Bellow Lizard.

Arthur then started to cut into the scaly skin of the lizard, making sure to keep it as precise as he could. It took Arthur about fifteen minutes to finish this part before he finally peeled it all off.

>Player Arzhur has obtained a Mid Quality Ember Bellow Lizard Pelt!<

"There we go!" Arthur rolled up the pelt.

This also resulted in another surprise.

>Skill: Butcher has risen in proficiency!<

"Huh? It rose this early?" Arthur was surprised. "No, wait… I am harvesting a Draconid. No wonder it gave more progress." He understood.

Unlike the other beasts Arthur had harvested till now, The Ember Bellow Lizard was certainly the strongest and highest quality so far. Thus, it also resulted in his butcher skill improving faster than usual.

"It came at the right time though. This\'ll make things easier!" Arthur was happy with the opportune skill improvement.

He continued butchering the Ember Bellow Lizard, extracting a few more materials.

>Player Arzhur has obtained a Mid Quality Ember Bellow Pouch! X 4<

These were the cheek pouches that the Ember Bellow Lizards used to store the flammable fluid. They were flexible and stretchable, giving them multiple uses. But that wasn\'t all.

>Player Arzhur has obtained a vial of Low Quality Ember Bellow Fluid<

"It used up too much of it… I barely got a vial. There should be at least three normally." Arthur muttered.

The Ember Bellow Fluid could be used by alchemists to make several things, including bombs!

"Thankfully, there is another corpse to butcher." Arthur turned to the corpse of the Male Ember Bellow Lizard, leaving the female corpse alone.

There were no more parts left to harvest that Arthur could carry. There was the flesh and bones but they didn\'t sell for much, thus it wasn\'t viable to bring them back. Especially since Arthur had to cross a rope over a cliff, of all things!

Arthur needed to keep his carry weight at a tolerable level.I think you should take a look at

"Kri?" And when Arthur was about to start butchering the second corpse, Brambles pulled his attention.

"Mm? You want to eat it?" Arthur listened to the beetle\'s request.

"Kr!" The beetle responded in affirmation.

"Sure. We can\'t carry that anyways." Arthur let the beast do as it pleased.

"KRRR!" Brambles was excited and started to gorge on the skinless corpse of the Ember Bellow Lizard.

The beetle used to be a herbivore before its evolution and ate tree roots as food. But after its evolution to the Dragon Horn Beetle, it had turned into an omnivore. It could eat flesh, bone and blood as well.

While Brambles ate the corpse, Arthur continued harvesting the male Ember Bellow Lizard\'s corpse.

>Player Arzhur has obtained a High Quality Ember Bellow Lizard Pelt!<

"Huh? OHO!" Arthur shouted in excitement.

Perhaps it was due to the fact that the Male had fewer injuries than the Female despite the fight. The quality of the Pelt turned out to be significantly better.

"This should be for the chest armor, for sure." Arthur decided.

>Player Arzhur has obtained a Mid Quality Ember Bellow Pouch! X 4<

Though the pouches turned out to be the same quality as before.

"Guess it won\'t work for all parts…" Arthur continued his work, extracting the fluid that was left in the pouches.

>Player Arzhur has obtained a Vial of Ember Bellow Fluid x 2<

"A little better than before. Combined with the previous, it should be enough." Arthur nodded his head.

"KRRR!" Just as Arthur finished harvesting the second corpse though, Brambles let out a roar.

"What\'s happening?" Arthur looked at the Beetle whose body seemed to be emitting waves of energy.

>The Dragon Horn Beetle has consumed a Draconid corpse! Detected that it is compatible!<

>Dragon Horn Beetle\'s Bloodline has been strengthened!<

>Dragon Horn Beetle has obtained the skill: Fire Resistance!<

Arthur was surprised by this as he had not expected it to happen.

\'I knew pet beasts had a chance to evolve if they consume certain items, but it was certainly not corpses… Is it due to the fact that both are Draconids?\' Arthur wondered.

If it was so, he would be able to improve Brambles even more.

"Brambles. Try to eat this corpse too." Arthur asked the beast.

The beetle immediately went over and started chomping on the skinless lizard.

Arthur waited patiently for the beast to finish eating, but no notification appeared.

"Hmm… does it only trigger once?" Arthur wondered if it was a species limitation. \'Guess I\'ll have to wait to test it out.\' He thought.

If he wanted to confirm this, Arthur would have to hunt another Draconid and let Brambles consume it.

"Still, it is good. The fire resistance will help you too." Arthur was happy with it.

After all, there was no lack of mages that used fire as their common attack element. It was also troublesome to deal with at the start.

But with the resistance, it would be a lot easier for Arthur and Brambles to handle it all.
