Chapter 484 Rankings
Chapter 484 Rankings
Twenty-five cultivators turned up in the Green Centipede Clan by the end of the test, surprising everyone, including Compass Carburettor. One of them reached as high as 160 metres, causing all the Elders to be jubilant.
For this meant they had an exceptionally talented cultivator in their Clan.
Compass Carburettor arrived before the twenty-five cultivators, saying, "Only the top seventeen of you will be given the seeded slots. As for the rest, your score will be stored in our database and depending on the performance of the rest of the participants next month, everyone will be ranked accordingly. And if you make it into the ranks, you\'ll be accepted too."
"Thank you!" Everyone cupped their fists in response as Compass Carburettor summoned his Apocalypse World self, creating Apocalypse Pearl tablets that were inscribed with the name and face of the top seventeen, "This is your admission tokens. They would be modified according to the class and batch you are accepted into. Until then, this will serve as your entry."
Compass Carburettor smiled, cupping his fists, "Welcome to the Academy!"
With their tasks done, Compass Carburettor and Grisha vanished, deactivating their summons, surprising everyone.
After all, they had assumed Grisha would teleport Compass Carburettor away in the same way as she brought him to the Clan. But, their instantaneous vanishing shocked them. Immediately after that, the Spydragon hovering in the air vanished.
"Hurry, try to probe the situation in the other Clans and Sects." The Green Centipede Clan Leader said, dispatching people everywhere.
Soon, he met with a piece of shocking news that honestly terrified him, "The test was conducted in all the Clans and Sects throughout the Gaider Realm…at the same time?"
This meant that Compass Carburettor was present everywhere in the Gaider Realm. It wasn\'t a cloning ability for he had used his power to test everyone. This meant that even while present in other locations, he was able to unleash his power without any limitations, not to mention the level of power he had displayed.
The Green Centipede Clan Leader sighed, feeling nervous, "Just who the heck is he…? He has surpassed my understanding."
Results from every Clan and Sect arrived one after another as Compass Carburettor was seated within the Reality Marble in the Academy. The memories of his past self that had conducted the test returned to him as he digested everything.
This was the advantage of his summons. He would remember everything they experienced. Similarly, Grisha too would remember everything experienced by her summons.
This was why problems would arise from the summons of copied memories. There was a chance the memories might flow into the original.
Compass Carburettor began to go through the memories, tallying the list and the scores of all the participants, surprised when he saw a certain score that originated from the Simpleton Clan. That was the third-highest, following Xuer and Bunuela.
This was especially shocking since no information about this individual was available before this. Compass Carburettor looked at his name, frowning.
Gallo!
"So, he\'s the System Host that arrived at the Gaider Realm. Did he integrate himself into the Simpleton Clan?" He muttered, not taking any action, for the time being, intending to probe him later.
He included Gallo\'s name in the list that was pretty long, inscribing it into a large slab that stood in the Academy City. Immediately, those from the various Clans stationed beyond the Academy City\'s moat hurried over to ask for permission to look at the score.
Compass Carburettor permitted them entry, noticing them noting down all the information furiously before sending out messenger birds nonstop to their respective forces.
This allowed all the Clans and Sects to see where they stood in terms of geniuses. Unsurprisingly, the Blazing Sun Clan was on a whole other level, a cut above the rest. Even its subsidiary Sects were the same.
The Giant Whale Sect obtained great popularity once again thanks to Xuer who bagged second place.
Actually, in terms of Luck, Xuer fared better than Bunuela. But, her experience and judgement proved lacking as compared to Bunuela, hence placing second.
Bunuela had a score of 391. Meaning, she traversed 391 metres on the path. Xuer came in pretty close at a score of 384. And shockingly, Gallo\'s performance was piss poor at a score of 303. This was despite him being a Luck based System Host with a Heaven Martial Spirit.
The majority of the cultivators were in the early hundreds, with only a scant few in the two hundred, most of which were from the Blazing Sun Clan.
Thankfully, there were more qualified candidates than what he had expected. It meant that the situation wasn\'t hopeless. He could at least do something about the Gaider Realm in their war against the System Hosts.
The results caused large waves throughout the Gaider Realm as it pretty much became the topic of discussion among every Clan and Sect. Though, they were also waiting to see the results of the general test.
The scores of the general populace would also be collated and included in the overall rankings. A lot were in anticipation of the same.
Of course, it wasn\'t just hyped though. For those who scored way less than someone they had been looking down on for having lesser talent, hatred began to brim in them.
This was especially true for those with higher-grade Martial Spirits scoring less than cultivators with lower-grade Martial Spirits.
Those with a better Martial Spirit meant better talent. It was as simple as that, a culture that was deeply rooted within their minds.
But now, a conflicting thought had been set off by Compass Carburettor.
Those that benefitted thanks to this new school of thought supported it while those that suffered loss and shame opposed it, deciding to stick to the old school of thought.
And, these two schools of thought would continue to clash with one another all the time until his school of thought gradually become more strongly rooted than the older one.
"I have a migraine." Grisha got up, grunting as she massaged her forehead, "This memory influx makes my head hurt."
"Please bear with it one more time next month." Compass Carburettor said, "After that, I\'ll set up a formation for future tests."
